I've had big dogs that were shit , big dogs that were good , and small dogs the same , a dog makes there own name , I don't compare crosses for the simple fact that a dog is what it is and once the dog does its job and has good lineage so it can be bred it shouldn't bother anyone , I've heard good things about this cross so I said I'd give it a try and in all fairness to brenner I don't think you could get a better bred bull whippet if you tried , the dog I have is full of guts and is a good steady pup , takes to training brilliantly ( jumping , retrieving , sitting , staying perfectly ) , I c

Yes. A good dog. His half brother and son were much better dogs IMO. His son was not a better dog , good dog yes but nowhere near as well bred as his father -

We owned scamp bred him too , one of the best dogs to work a man could watch work , his brothers were not better but equally as good , I would know we worked and bred them too. -
I'll have a look sully, they'll be somewhere in an old photobucket account. I'll have a look tomorrow Cheers bud , nice shape on your own dogs , what height are they? My pup seems to be racey enough , he has a good head though

No biters just facts , good and bad in everything , I've kept what people called ' great lines of collie lurchers' and they weren't so great at all , same as whippets , as I said good and bad in everything , just finding good lines and sticking to them , good dogs make there own name and I've seen plenty of people vouch for trevs whippet so must be a good animal , people keep what they like and what suits them , everybody has a different need for there type of Lurcher so by all means keep what you want but don't knock a dog that is half the size of most lurchers with twice the heart.

I've seen dozens of useless merle lurchers ..

Keep it away from walls then.Ffs Morton spat my tea over my iPad.? Witty b***%*d Had a little laugh myself haha , on a serious note though people don't give whippets the recognition they deserve.

I've a first cross whip/ bull dog off a blue mike brown dog and that dog will hit what you put infront of him.
-
Nobody they are all shivery useless fukcing thing ........ I'd have to disagree there , seen plenty of whippets put a lot of lurchers to shame by day and on the lamp and seen them show up lurchers on a fox , btw I'm in Ireland so totally legal but yeah I wouldn't say there useless , I had big lurchers that wouldn't do what some whippets would.

I was thinking of doing this and then crossing to a first cross whip bull

Recent picture , 18 tts now , seems to be racey enough , nearly 5 months

I didn't mean to make it sound like somebody was telling me what to do. A local terrier man said its hard to do both so he recommended to chose.Well if I was you I would recommend the local terrier man to mind his own fukcing business ......Haha I did ask him for some advice so I don't want to be rude just yet lol The terrier-man is only trying to offer advice socks , of which I think is good advice , working terriers properly and maintaining fitness through your the season is very time consuming , I have a Lurcher , only ever kept 1 at a time but myself and the father keeps terriers and tb

First cross whippet bull , 4 1/2 months old , touching 17 1/2" tts now , jumping and retrieving a treat , no fear with water , won't blink at horses , cows or sheep
-
He's a cracking pup , he'll be a big one I'd say , plenty of feeding and he'll grow away nicely , best of luck with him bud
-
You definitely picked a racey one pal, looks cracking atb with him That's what I was hoping for when I picked him , went with all the obvious whippet signs , curl in the tail , slight slope in the back but I made sure I picked a pup with a good solid head , I think I'll be lucky with this pup and he will literally be a strong whippet with a good head and with the bull in them they can't come that weak so I said if I choose a whippity pup the bull will still show but I won't have a block that can't turn or has no speed

My pup today , 4 1/2 months old now and about 17 1/2 " tts
