  1. I've a first cross , great brain and all guts , jumps well and has enough speed , can't complain about him at all, wouldn't have one for ferreting though as my dog does have quite abut of fire , more suited to foxes / rabbits on the lamp etc.
  2. Who had whippets in Ireland and what way are they bred? I've a bull whip that's very closely bred around sooty Sam on the whip side, I'll be looking for a bitch pup bred similarly , don't mind waiting.
  3. Sure you'll have some fun with that pair There electric on the lamp , brilliant to watch and only just beginning , now to be fair there only getting easy courses because there's no need to give them anything hard at that age but there brilliant to watch , turn on a penny and a good burst of speed Sounds like they're off to a cracking start pal Have you done any bushing with them? Reckon this type is made for that sort of work and it's definitely exciting to watch I haven't done any bushing with them , well so much as them actually bushing but they have been out with our pack of teckels
  4. Sure you'll have some fun with that pair There electric on the lamp , brilliant to watch and only just beginning , now to be fair there only getting easy courses because there's no need to give them anything hard at that age but there brilliant to watch , turn on a penny and a good burst of speed glad to hear they are starting up well for ye sully. Happy to hear they have a bit of speed to them. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do on teeth . Is the bitch bonding with ye ok ? She's bonding good pal, plenty of time will be put in to get the best out of her

  6. Now 9 months old and I've got his sister also ( gifted to me by brenner because of personal matters ) both have been started on the lamp and are doing well, they are both 20/21" tts , plenty of speed and are very gamey.
  7. How's he getting on now mate has he kept on growing or levelled off?? JB He's at about 20/21 tts ATM and 8 months old, he's a absolute nutcase
  8. Any pics of your pack sully? D'you work them below, or only as bushers? Will get some pics later as I'm in work atm , there's one line works above and one that will go to ground , the dog that will go to ground is smaller in build.
  9. They have great drive and will go as long as you let them , they have good feet and rarely end up sore.
  10. A Teckel , we hunt a pack of them , nothing will come anywhere near in hunting ability.
  11. There's another pic above for you , he's coming on well, good dog on the lamp and very settled at home so I'm happy out with him so far
  12. Very nice dogs lads , I had a whip/ grey bitch years ago that was a very good bitch on everything but got injured a lot so a touch of bull to add abit of strength done the job nicely
  13. He's a very handy dog , great on the lamp and not afraid of teeth so far so good , I like to take them handy as young dogs , will pop more pics up later
  14. Whip X grey ,16 months old , 23 tts
  15. I'd put a wheaton grey to her , I find with the whip greys the only downfall is bone, a Wheaton will put some good bone into the pups
  16. Give him his first fox doubled at about 16-19 months, then lay him off about 3 months to think about it and give him another fox this time alone see how he reacts , if he does the job maybe give him one more before end of season and leave it at that, he's still only young, plenty of time for game.
  17. I just got a young dog in grey/whip touch of bull , all white dog , 23" , very fast and not afraid of teeth.
  18. Looking like she will make about 24 bud , I will of course.
  19. Measured her there and she's standing at 18 tts at 14 weeks , she's all leg ?
  20. We had a whip hound bitch maybe 5 year back , the best Lurcher I've ever seen, worked everything and I mean everything , she was wicked fast but got injured a lot due to bone , her feet were good but I believe Wheaton in the mix would be ideal.
  21. They look about the same height but my bitch looks a lot more lightly built
