Obviously, someone has released a pet at some point then? I've heard enough accounts to see they can survive.
Funny. It's got me thinking ~ literally as I sit here; Let pet coloured bun's go? You end up with pet coloured bun's amongst the local wild population. Fair enough.
But: How come feral cats practically always breed to Black??? Ever noticed that?
See mostly tabby ferals.
The same coloured rabbits crop up all over, islands, moors. It's in them

Don't chop and change dogs so haven't started as many as others, but they normally catch the first lamped rabbit. Pick one way out on rough ground when the dogs ready??????

Breeding the various lurcher types and longdog/hybrids of various breeding ingredients is by far very much hard work and particularly much patience if one endeavour to prevail his or hers chosen running dogs. One must have a real full hearted plan in their head to make the right decision and attitude to continue a breeding project regardless as to what one chooses to attempt breeding lurcher types or longdog strains. Ones kennels should be immaculately kept very much on top and in tip top condition before even attempting to begin the process of a breeding project for to be perfectly honest and truly trusted as a reputable breeding authoritie do your homework first and then you should have a good honest plan ahead

Cheers but I've always bought pups in and don't have kennels...

No speak your minds boys everyone is clearly entitled to their opinion but these hybrids are an end product if any other breeding ingredients are used then its not true to type simple as that.me and date Hancock are relatively good friends and he's bred some good stuff on a commercial bases I don't end ov!! If one foolishly allows anything else to the whippet x greyhound longdog then this is a risk of losing confirmation, shape, depth of chest and therefore I choose to breed true to type in so far as the type of bloodline i personally choose to use.Hancock is a collie x greyhound lurcher breeder using only certain breeding ingredients suchlike collie bred lurchers and despite ones opinion of him i like the guy and some real handy collie bred lurchers have been bred and subsequently produced by Hancock!remember the first cross whippet x greyhound longdog is a very useful hybrid providing one chooses to use them for the right job the most appropriate expression to use in this matter. The three quarter bred is somewhat a totally different kettle of fish lightning quick with electrifying pace and zest in the coursing field. Yours in sport Carl Williams bowline whippet x greyhounds longdogs.
Deja vu
I like whip grey's but personally think whip grey X lurchers are better/better suited

Not sure about adding other blood spoiling them, really like the whip grey scratch dog X lurchers, as long as they aren't trying to kill themselves

So if mc hulls dad bred Luke he wasn’t imported rather bred of imported stuff .
@Rudeboy 1, correct me if I’m wrong but surely just putting a whippet to a greyhound doesn’t make it a line , surely line breeding will make it a line so to speak ?
Bred off UK stuff of the time weren't they.
Ginger must have told everyone a different story about everything
-
Sounds like a bunny hugger.
Normally they've had something bad happen or know of something. And it seems bred into some of them

What are the dogs in the Paul Croes photo?

I remember ginger French leny purchasing LUKE a purebred imported coursing saluki from the bare knuckle fighters Stanley brothers for a fee of £2000 we are talking 30 odd years ago...big money then and still is now!!!! However, like was a match dog taking 3 from 3 single handed with effortlessly pace and lightning thrust he was like most saluki/saluki crosses running a hare half hearted almost really humiliating its chosen quarry.l liked lenny a real character who knew to make a few quid or two I would not want to imagine the amount of bitches that we're sired by him literally dozens to say the least.?..God bless you lenny and a saluki legend LUKE!!!!
@mC HULL's dad bred Luke..

There's loads of hybrids, pure Scottish wildcats are rare. Folk were trapping the hybrids and neutering them

Not staffs, but have had this with pups and like others have said, they have all come round and got on

Some pics of it in the rush as well. Just a dog ratching about imo

No it’s not mate one set was taken in the field it was found the others in the farmyard were it was skinned back for a closer examination, but all of the same sheep they have been shown many times as they are good clear evidence of feline predation and consumption, unless you can offer another verifiable explanation, it’s very easy to sit back shouting bullshit at everything but there is very little in your argument to substantiate your claim that people are making things up, apart from the rubbish that goes in the media which I am the first to call out when I think it is false, anyways we are were we are and going no were so I’m off to Bristol to see my grandkids for the day cheers
I think the same each time you put it up, bottom one looks like a fat lamb?
And going off just the top pics and all the shite behind, it could of just died. God knows

You are the one that is ignoring facts, as I,ve pointed out to you on many occasions, your sole interest here is to call me a liar, these pictures are not a figment of my imagination they are a clear sign of a feline attack and consumption, show me a dog attack on a sheep were the rumin bag is removed and put to one side, just one example will do to back up your claim and disprove mine, here is another example, no British mammal does it, foxes badgers and many bops will eat it so now show us a dog kill were the stomach has been removed and put to one side,I have plenty more examples so just show us one and please not a wiki link
That roe is covered in rumen. Bag probably got left behind whilst it was ragged about and eaten by all and sundry

Hello to all.
I would like some help with our lurchers coat. Luna is 3 this year, her Mum was a Border Collie x Whippet (merle) her Dad a Whippet x Greyhound (Non-Merle). I think she has the harlequin merle modifier gene, I don't think she is double merle, her Dad was not cryptic as far as we can tell. She has no helth issues eyesight excellent and her hearing is as selective as any lurcher.
She is a stunning wee dog, very unique markings, great temperament.
Any help appreciated.
Aye it's Merle...
You don't get Merle whippets or greyhounds, so it can't be double Merle if breeding is correct

That one was straight off Dave platt there is more deerhound in her than Boris
A "first cross" would be pure deerhound X pure greyhound. Yours is one of them generation bred ones isn't it?
