Shoebootie, i know coons can live in the ground. Were you from i just may take you up on that offer. Im off for 2 months and dont mind traveling. If you like pm me were your from..

Shoebootie, these are not my first terriers nor the first time i hunted.when you say i speak from lack of experience please tell me in wich way? That a ground hog i feel is a better hunt then a coon? If all i wanted to hunt was coon i would just get a coon dog and go out at night and start treeing. And believe me im not trying to be a smart ass to you either bro just would like to know what makes me sound like i lack experience thats all. I dont claim to know it all because i dont. But when i do say something its the truth. And most folks here in the states dont work there dogs but act like th

Im from Wisconsin were we have probably some of the biggest coons in the US. and in the earth its harder for the coon to use all his legs to his fullest.the coon doesnt have the jaw pressure as a hog nor does it keep sharping its teeth like a hog. A hogs teeth ARE WIDE AND SHARP! Id rather get poked with a skinny nail then cut open with a straight blade. And not to mention a hog back fills fast and if you dont have a dog that pushs threw that then your not getting it. And yes the coon hides does roll because its fat. But in a set what are the chances of the dog grabbing him in the side? He is

I live on the Wisconsin border in the US. And the badger is a protected animal in wis, and michigan and ill. Wisconsin is known as the badger state and there very hard to locate. Like i said before im just starting over with my pats again and there young. Im taking out my male this weekend to do some barn hunts for coon. My male only been on one coon. And it wasnt a planned thing because i would of rather of waited for him to get older. But he did kill it. He got it under my neihbors deck and i had to pull them out. Ill take pics this weekend of him working running the stacks and going down. I

Brother/sister Cross- Your Thoughts!
rippem replied to Kaizer Sozĕ's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I believe that if you do a breeding of father daughter you do it for breeding purposes to tighten up your line and nothing more. And you need to cull hard. Before i would do that i would do half brother to a half sister breeding and start breeding off of that. -
Im a liar? Your a f***ing twat! I got pics to prove it! Pics of my young dog on it and the damage he did to it! And you can say what you want about the ground hog twat. The ground hog back fills fast and if your dog dont know to push through he wont get it. And they dont bite a coon. Put fang holes in your dog they put GASHES IN THEM! Id rather my dog get bite by a coon then a ground hog any day..ill get the pics posted for you twat so you can see my dog on the coon and the after affect..sorry if your dogs dont have mouth to kill one..

Richlee thanks for the offer. Just saw the post ill give you a call latter tonight. Thanks

Im from the north. Im right on the wis border. And yes there are coons in the ground and i havent seen alot dug to.a coon is tough not saying there not.what makes a coon give a battle is because they use there front and back legs. There not much for wind and there bite isnt all that. Jmo..a ground hog on the other hand will back fill on your dog fast and when pushed will lay gashes in your dog not holes like a coon. And if you dont have a good dog to push threw the back fill he will never get it. It takes a differnt dog.my young dog just over a year just killed a coon that weighed around 28lbs

Lol, i was being a smart ass bro. I just had one posted i will repost another one after he killed his coon. You can clearly see the size difference. And the coon was a big one not a monster but pretty big.he saw it running through the neihbors yard and he took off and grabbed it while it was going under the deck. I grabbed him barley by the tail and dragged them out. If not i would of had to rip up his deck apart.

Yes they are a test for a terrier.more so then a coon. They back fill fast and when they bite they leave gashes in your dog. Not holes but wide gashes. The dog needs to be spannable to get in the set. So no they dont need to be very small just spannable and flexible. My male is 15lbs and spannable. Is that considered very small? Id like my dogs to be around 12 to 15lbs. And at 15lbs and just over a year he killed his first big coon.so how much bigger do you need? Andything bigger to me your better off just getting a small pit

Shoebootie, they do barn hunts in the winter and ground hog in the summer and coon. If your from here you probably heard of char smith? If not im sure someone you know has. She has some of the best jacks here in the states. And there few guys that hunt coon here but there barn hunts or hunt the road.not many digging to ground hog here. And to me thats were the test is. In the ground. My pup just over a year just killed his first coon and he wasnt a small coon neither. Now if i were to of put him in the ground on a hog at his age he would of been messed up. Any dog will hunt above ground its in

Fat man, is mosby from the states?

Man o kent, it depends on who is selling it. They can go from 500 to 1000$ to much money. And like i said most dont even hunt. If there lucky they might have done 1 barn hunt just for pics to say there dogs hunt. Lol. We probably have more older woman that hunt and they hunt with jacks then men. I wish i knew folks over here with serious hunting dogs that dont mind putting in the work. Its hard to find good solid workers over here. I had 4 at one time and let them get old never gave it a thought about breeding them.i thought good pats were every were. Not many had them then. Now folks are bree

Any updates on the tail? Like to know if i was right or if it was something else. Thanks

Dead game kennels i belive doesnt hunt anymore. Hasnt in some time. And onlyworkmattters, your right but then again your wrong. There are some yanks here that have been with the terriers probably just as long as you if not maybe longer. But,90% of them dont hunt they say they do but dont. Like i said before on here its hard to find a good solid working line over here. Dead game i was talking to him before and he said he had a dog for sale when i asked for a pic of the young dog i swear it had dachshund mixed in. It was super long and short. Ugliest dog ive seen. Def not a pat. Then you have ma

And the old timers swear old burnt motor oil cure all also..lmao..it is what it is. Cant cure everything.

If hes tightly breed more then likely he's got a menatal problem and you not gonna fix it. Unless you gove him Xanax or some other drug to keep his kind off it.watch first the tail then it will be his leg or something elese. Ill tell you now its now mange. Dogs like that have a problem in there head and it will always be there and the other owner knew this and this is why it was gifted to you because he didnt want to deal with it..you said if it keep up the tail will be gone in a coue weeks. Well if thats the z Case instead of him mutilating himslef take him on amd have it removed. Then you w

Sounds psychological. Mental problem. Or bored.
