Great picture mate. I live 10 mins from banstead downs and walk there often with the dogs. I'll imagine that dog running about next time I'm up there -
Nice one I look forward to her progress

Thanks fellas,he's a good lad. He has stuck his head down a few bigger holes so keeps me happy. Just turned 2 J1985 we have some mutual friends I think if your the same fella. I'm Gary's son in law,me and you were talking the other week about your bitch on fb. Atb

Anyone's else dog do this. We usually go for a walk over the local common and since he was a pup he marks rats ,digs them and occasionally pulls them from the ground. Done it since he was a pup ,always makes me laugh when he catches one. He charges round the common well pleased with himself . I call it his lap of victory

A better pic of the Lakeland . Must admit he drives me mad sometimes, typical terrier but I would'nt be without him

I've got a pack of 3. A deerhound x, a bull greyhound and a little Lakeland . They do alright ,keep me happy

Are Many People Getting Out In This Weather???
Hannibal replied to Gaj1612's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Went out this morning for a walk and the ground is just like big ponds. Did'nt see a thing -
Yeah it's a good line,we know everything that has gone into it since the first x. He's only just turned 2 so got a good few years out of him yet. Works well with the deerhound
-
He's a half x. About 5th generation . My father in law bred him,he has had the line going 20 odd years

Thought I would post a few pics of the hounds on the morning walk. Just took the bull x and deerhound. Left the Lakeland at home as I got out at bit later than normal and did not want to bump into any one with the nutcase of a terrier. Went walking on a bit of waste ground/rubbish tip that they are turning into a country park. Usually get a run on a few rabbits and see Charlie going for a walk but did not see a thing today. The ground is totally waterlogged, was sinking quite deep in some places

My dad used to keep pures years ago, tough dogs who saw their share of work. Not seen a good one for years though. The Aussie boys use them a lot so must be some good one s still -
Anyone near to surrey/sussex who fancies meeting up for a mooch with the dogs. I've got no one near me I know who is into hunting. My father in law and couple of mates who keep dogs are over a 2 hour drive away so do most of my hunting on my own. Starting to do my head in a bit to be honest, bit of a long shot but worth a try. Think the dogs are getting sick of me talking to them lol

Yeahs he's a big boy. Very boisterous with me but so gentle with my boy. They are the best of mukkas

I thought I would post a few pics of my son and my bull x. The dog started off as mine but as soon as we got him my boy claimed him as his own. He has put the work in with him and the bond they have between them is great
-
No he didn't bring it out for me,had to get on my hands and knees lol atb

Cheers mate I have not decided if it was pure luck or his great hunting skills but either way it made my day. The simple things

My Lakeland terrier caught his first rabbit today in the scrub. He is 2 years old and has had plenty of rats and pushed some bits out for my two lurchers but today he caught his first rabbit . It was on a bit of local waste ground . It's bordered by a sewage plant,an industrial estate and a council estate. It's quite a vast area and I have caught loads here over the years but the last couple have been pretty barren so I was pleased with him. He was in deep thick brambles and I did'nt even see it till I heard the squealing. Thanks for reading
