  1. I have been having a look round some of my permissions and have been noticing more damage on the crops than previous years.I've put it down to more youngsters about as I didn't take many of this particular one last year and now they are breeding like rabbits!.
  2. That's a quality picture that it's really captured the dogs determination.Very nice dog too.
  3. I will hopefully be getting a pup from a Bearded Collie over whippet in the next few weeks.Does anyone else have this cross or any pictures of them?.Both dam and sire are proven workers so should be good genes there.
  4. Excellent pictures there mate, that last one is a cracking!. The look on the Terriers face is priceless.
  5. The vet said botulism was the cause when I took the jill in but other than that I didn't get her autopsies.
  6. No the jill wasn't in season and has only been fed dry food since the warmer weather.
  7. Having just lost one of my Jills to this terrible disease I am wondering I should stop feeding raw food to my other ferrets.None of the other got or have got it.My whole court has been disifected as a procuation and the others wormed and flead. It's very disheartening as I only got this one last year and she was proving to be a reliable worker. Has anyone else encountered botulism before,if so how often?
  8. That's a few you got then. All the best with them, they'll be eating you out of house and home in no time!.
  9. Some updated pictures of the Golden and lady Amherst Chicks.
  10. Some updated pictures of the Golden and lady Amherst Chicks.
  11. That sure is a few ferrets. All are looking well with nice coats to them.
  12. I'm doing much the same.Bad hatches both in the incubators and under broodies most have been failing just before hatching.
  13. I would say hes just abit bigger than the average springer will measure later. I don't intentionally use him for bushing but he goes in the odd time.I started taking him ferreting last year and he did well just lacks the speed.
  14. Yes springer cross working collie.
  15. Thanks for the advice. Tryed it out today and had him fetching bits of wood from deeper parts of the river. Cheers
  16. Brilliant pictures!.Always good to be out with a dog and a couple of ferrets on a nice day.
  17. Exellent video there.Just shows what abit of persistence can do.How did you get her entering the water to start with as having trouble with my dog avoiding it like the plague at the moment.
  18. Here's my first hatch of the year.4 golden and 1 lady amherst pheasants.Still more to go and a goose egg due in a couple days.
  19. Just had 5 hatch out waiting on 4 more these have come out a few days early so caught me by suprise.
  20. I'm just hoping myxi doesn't get a hold here, haven't seen it for a few years so I'm hopeful.
  21. Always the way when you have nothing to get them with.Sometimes it feels as though they wait till you are unarmed to come out.
  22. Walking the dog this evening and saw quite a few young rabbits about. This is the bit of permission I got last year and had nothing of it last season so it's looking alright for the upcoming season.
  23. Good luck getting him.Had one last year get 18 guineafowl and 12 ducks in a week it's disheartening when you've raised them.
  24. The first hatch will be next weekend and then 1 the next so the hatches are staggered.
  25. They are certainly bright at the moment and their tails are truly magnificent. The hens are laying like there's no tomorrow so hoping for a good few hatches this year.
