  1. the cheapest places are poultry places they are half the price than most dog places just the same lamp imo you have a choice of bulbs i always go for the porceilene element type they dont let of any light ang stronger if they get caught also if the glass ones are near a window or door that has been left open and rain starts hitting it they shatter which could cause all kinds of complicatins with that fine glass on a kennel floor. i also think you get a couple more seasons out of the dogs if kept warm and out of draft.
  2. been getting it a while now its not normally later than the first week of the month
  3. are them daytime photos tacken in australia if so it doesnt look anything like what i expected
  4. let the freind keep taking him out for a few seasons see if he stays interested in another year or so girls are going to start coming into the equation and whats going to happen to birdie then has mum and dad got a new bird they do need a hell of alot of time spending on them to get them good its like a dog you get out what you put in but its easyer to spend time with a dog if you dont feel up to much just bring them in the house and watch telly with them your still spending time with them with a bird its alot harder to fit them into your daily life.
  5. has anyboby recieved there november copy yet im sure ive normally got mine by now im starting to get withdrawl symptoms
  6. ive got a 1/2 greyhound 1/4 wheaton 1/4 whippet the pups there look alot stronger than mine did at that age id have a go if i had the space they should work right along side the terriers if there bred right good look.
  7. there sems a decent type collie dog up at stud in ed/rd at the mo at least i think its collie
  8. im looking for my passport as i type
  9. ive often thought of getting one made up for them places with prying eyes just keep it under my jacket till i get out of sight but ive always talked my self out of the idea cause at the end of the day it is creating another weak point in the shouvel but if i find a type thats been tested and is strong enouth i would jump at the chance to have one so go on lads get some pictures and comments up about two part shouvels are they strong enouth for terrier work
  10. if your getting a terrier and intend on using it on fox at a later date (i assume you mean to ground) the best bit of advice i can give you is keep it away from rabbits rat yes but not rabbit, if it turns out to be a grafter to fox that early introduction to rabbit could have ruined it before you started
  11. to work allong side the terriers if always had 1/2 cross they had there fair share on the lamp but they did lack a bit of speed some times, if i was to get another i think i would get a 5/8 3/8 for that bit more speed but without loosing to much of the bull which makes them the dog they are. at the moment though i running on a wheaton cross see how she goes i may be getting a 5/8 3/8 bull greyhound yet.

  16. anything below 14" any bigger and they struggle round here you end up having to dig down to help them along a few times before they meet there quarry i once had a small nuttal bitch 12" she was perfect and she always worked hard never giving a inch.
  17. b&f make very good locators but that doese not make them a fountain of youth on digging equipment stick to the building supplies bulldog i tend to use. cause at the end of the day theyve got tradesmen coming in and out every day and they dont want to upsett them by selling a dodgy shouvel
  18. i say this with a big sigh before i type but why is there any truthull reason, your thinking of text book percentiges turn on a sixpence run from drop with stanima and pace of a deerhound if that turned out id have two but the chance of hit and miss is to far im not saying dont try it but dont leave all your eggs in one basket if you got kennel space fillit up with a backup plan for next season cause in my eyes your trying to breed a ruth hared greyhound with experctations beyhond what it can fullfill dont meen to upset and im sorry if i do and dont pull me up on my spelling either dident like
