  1. I personally think the classifieds are a good thing, yes people peddling dogs is really shit, but its not just dogs, its nets, locators, guns, leads, collars, traps, etc, etc not just dogs, we need a better way to improve things without wiping it out..The 50 post limit sounds a good suggestion to get rid of spammers and peddlers who join and just sell on a first post...any other ideas?
  2. Theres plenty about...going to recheck the zero, took a shot last night and missed clean, then took another shot and hit high, maybe because I'd been playing with the moderator, I'll double check today..

  4. Don't think it will topper, the modern ones are fussy...
  5. If you can make a go of it, great...I can remember years ago there was a few similar setups for airgunners down south advertised in the rifle mags...theres loads of mental keen airgun owners with no permission Good Luck!
  6. Clulite or Shootalite? I'd prefer just a hand lamp and get someone to lamp for you
  7. Had a look out couple of hours before darkness fell, as I needed the rifle christened , managed a nice size buck. dropped at 150yd with a heart shot. Stopped out for a bit of bunny bashing on the lamp too....
  8. .22LR Best rabbiting gun around
  9. Theres plenty of f*****g idiots about in the dog world, too many....I agree they do need culling at birth, b*****ds..you hear tales of people actually bragging about killing there dogs, fair enough if a dog needs pts fine, but bragging about it??? they must get off on it, I had a dog that should of got PTS cleanly and humanely, I ended up giving it back to people who had it previously thinking it would be ok, poor f****r ended up getting thrown out of the back of a motor on a motorway.. Never again will any animal I own pass hands, you never know were it will end or what will happen to them..

Might be something to do with your internet security settings, you need to allow cookies..
  12. Your from cleveland, normally some areas the fac dept will limit you to the farm you have permission on, cleveland tend to just allow you open tickets for .22 .17hmr, if you have these for a certain period and go for a bigger calibre they normally make these open also.. Easier than some of the tales you here from further down south..
  13. Northallerton, decent range of stuff but tight as feck they are
  14. Its all down to personal choice mr lee, I prefer a wood stock myself, although the synthetic is more durable....choices, choices, choices Were did you go trappa, saltburn?
  15. A hare getting coursed off a dog, maybe two then crunch???? Does it deserve more than that as well? Every animal deserves a humane end, whatever method is used...Like I said, sporting or control..you need to decide. Everything that is alive is subject to one hundred percent mortality. If you cannot live with this knowledge of your own or any other creatures death you can never come to terms with nature.... R.Bucknell.
  16. Previous to the ban on coursing hares, I'd prefer using dogs anytime over other methods to catch them, I still do.. yes its more sporting, no question about it, but theres many sides to this arguement, I think some are being blinkered, many will run their dogs doubled up on them even on the lamp, now that truely is unsporting, daytime single handed nothing compares, but just makes me wonder sometimes....before anyone thinks I'm swaying towards one, I'm not I sit on the fenceline with dogs or guns, etc. You have got to be open minded as its easy to start condeming people... lots of terriermen d
  17. Congrats mate, I'd go for the american classic with 16" barrel rather than the varmint model for a .22lr , its all personal choice though...
  18. There a sporting animal no doubt about that, and it takes a special dog to catch them during the daylight in winter on a regular basis...but everyones circumstances are different...if someone has permission and wants to run them fair do, if someone has permission and wants to shoot them, nice one...I've got quite a lot on some land I hunt, and to be honest you can make some decent money if you have a dealer to supply and a high density of them.. at £3.50 a hare...All boils down to the person doing it end of the day and if the landowner wants them thinning out..
  19. Words of wisdom Lucky you definitely work them and work them hard, hats off to you Millet gets tunnel vision after his medication... accept my apoligises for his remarks...
  20. Good shooting magwitch., got some bunnies to catch myself soon, decent price at the local butchers...
