Game hens make fantastic broodys, and excellent mothers.

Not great pics, i have them seperate from all the other birds, in a darker shed.

Yes mate, they are very good. You can transport the whole thing at night with the hen covered to a quiet place if needs be.
Just cut out some of the lip, screw on some wood so no sharp edges.

I have a mate in a factory that throws loads of buckets away I will get a hand full and have a go

Make sure they have a good circumference. The big plant pots have, but I have used buckets, or 5 gallon drums cut out.

A nice Spanish blue hen gifted to me off general lee went broody and I hatched of some aseel, oeg duckwings and Spanish blues in the incubator then transferred them under her! There 2 weeks old today!


That's good mate they ain't bad broodys either I've found hope they keep working out for ya and keep us posted on the chicks progress
