Yeah, 2 judges is the way to go for these size of shows, I did it there alone a few year back and thats the feedback I gave to Marcia the organiser, this show is growing every year..I remember Lowther a number of years back, 26+ in some classes..

I gave similar feedback last year Romany, they phoned me up when i had won a raffle prize. I ended up going home at 4pm and they were not even half way through the classes. They did brilliantly this year :thumbs:

cheers moll , i judged myself last year , canna disregard any owner who's paying for their dog to be judged , thats why it took so long , sunny weather attracts more people and dogs

Definitely Denned, probably why they put more on this year :thumbs:

:D I was going to send you a message last night, but you have no message thingy. Nothing scandalous :laugh: just about a bird singing here last night, thought you would be the right person to identify it :D

No. In the woods opposite my house about 10pm last night. It was the only bird singing. Would repeat a tune for about 4 times, then a different tune for another 3 or 4 repetitions, then a different one and so on. Had a repertoire of at least 5-6 different tunes/noises. Very loud, very clear.

      Unfortunately this will be the last one, as the East of England ground have decided its no longer profitable
      and will not be continuing after this year with the Autumn show, so hope people will come along and show their support.
       
       
      Sunday 8th October
       
      At:
       
      East of England Showground
      Peterborough
      PE2 6XE
       
      Simulated Coursing for Lurchers, followed by Straight Racing Overs and Unders for Lurchers, and Whippet and Terrier Racing.
       
      Booking in from 8.00am
       
       
      Open Showing from approx 12.30 with classes for Lurchers and Terriers will be back again this year, with rosettes and trophies.
       
       
      (The day will also feature the British Supreme Lurcher Championship organised by Pat Quant at 10.30am)
       
      There'll also be Long Jump and other things to keep you occupied all day!
       
      Stalls, food etc too.
       
      A good fun day out, well run, and all profits go to support Lurcher Link - lurcher specialist rescue.
