if you freeze your raw meat then thaw out and feed to your dogs it kills off the worms, in meats such as lamb its very important to do this

sounds like your doing fine, keep going as you are

i order my meat from a company online - meat is made to the same standards as for humans, packed into portion size then frozern, they deliver to your door with no extra charge perfect :clapper:

Cooking the dogs food is a waste of time and energy.

They don't need you to cook it.

I know they don't need me to cook it mate but like i said i coundn't help but feel the amount of worming i had to do was not good for there insides, would prefer to feed raw all the time and do with chicken carcasses but the rest i cook.I get all sorts of off cuts from a couple of butchers so they get a variety of meats and i haven't seen any drop in condition since cooking it,just have to worm less.

Dogs wil pick up worm eggs just as easily from other animals faeces when they're out and about so feeding raw is the least of your worries: if your'e following a regular worming programme then your'e fine: besides which, dogs are designed to extract the nutrients better from raw meat than cooked: in other words: it does them more good!

Just freeze the food mate before you feed it the dog, it's best to stock up in frozen food for the dogs so the new stuff goes to the back and the stuff thats been in there for a while can be used (stock rotation if you like lol), and anything you catch make sure you gut it ,skin it, check it over properly and then freeze it for a few weeks before you feed it to your dog.

Make sure you use proper decent wormers and not some garbage off the pet shop shelf to worm your dogs, worm them as the manufacturer suggests as well mate, and you'll be sound as far as the worms go.

Cooking the food will drain a lot of the nutrients out of the food that your dog would other wise be benefiting from.

Best of luck with it mate if you give it a go, I feed my dogs raw and wouldn't feed them any other way.
