It was English money we squandered from the bank of Scotland, were to tight to put our money in a bank.

:clapper:

If all the money was taken out of Scotland's mattresses and socks, there wouldn't be a recession on!

A lot of the money used to bail out these financial institutions given by the UK government was raised by the UK taxpayer, We Scots pay our taxes to the UK treasury not the Scottish government! Therefore the Scottish taxpayer looked after their own financial institutions by having an input and also helped bail out Northern Rock at the same time, The same could be said of course for the English taxpayer only in reverse, personally speaking I think Brown is doing his utmost to de-stabalise the Scottish financial economy before the issue of an Independance referendum takes place and make us more dependant on other UK banking bodies??
