How many of you are getting young ones in your rabbits at the moment? Sorry no pic's too busy picking thorns out my hands and head. i am from north wales and 5 weeks ago i had 6 rabbits and 4 had young in them lets them go went out last sat and seen a young one well 3 to tell you they must have been born around christmas time Quote Link to post

Passed a rabbit on a roundabout on my way ferreting on Sunday half grown. Its a tough call. It seems they will be breeding all year round very soon Quote Link to post
j davies 8 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 Was lamping a few days ago, had two rabbits that had signs of having young, one had a bald stomach and teats showing, the other had young inside her.... time to stop id say, give em chance to breed . yes it is we are only killing our sport we should all stop but most on here want next year they will be on here saying they having a bad year i go to one farm and only take 100 a year then stop last year i carried on and took 130 this year i have only had 60 funny really how things go. i have stoppednow and not going again till next septem Quote Link to post

victor 10 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 Was lamping a few days ago, had two rabbits that had signs of having young, one had a bald stomach and teats showing, the other had young inside her.... time to stop id say, give em chance to breed . every one around here has forgotten to go to this on OK spot. i was lamping there last night and saw easy 200+, aorund here you dont evan think about giving them a chance cus give them a mounth and you got a million. myxo didnt happen this year so we WILL have a plague by the end of this one. so lamping and ferreting is every ones hope. there is jut not eought pinadone to kill them the big ones eat it but the outhers are to unsure about it :S so if i wasnt in my town we'd litterly be f****d! I cant say it bolted because it wasnt that fast. This is Cornwall and nests of rabbits can always be expected from mid december.. Quote Link to post
