Okay, How many of you guys let your quarry run for another day ?

 

I myself, especially as ive got older, let the quarry run for another day ,unless on permission of course , as I believe that you dont help your sport much by killing all you dig to.

 

Just wondered what you guys do ??

if we dig we the hound we allways kill but if im out on my own i let them off dig them again another day

if the keeper says he been losing birds i kill the ones i get if he has not had any probs i def let them run on killing every fox does not neccessarily help as some foxes are not AS BAD as the next one could be

most times we let them go unless its work for the keeper or theyve got mange.cant see the point in killing for the sake of killing,only diluting the work for your dogs.but theres plenty of lads about that kill everything they get regardless of the situations.

let most of them run from febuary also depends on the permission

Let all vixens go from start off year and if we get a good dig or hunt with the hounds 9 times out of 10 we will let the dog foxes go also, you see the benifit the following year.

i always let them run and only nock them on the head if asked to do so, why kill em for no reason, youve had your sport so let them run for another day unless there un healthy in any way

(PRE-BAN)It all depended on the circumstances for me, if we were there to kill the game then we did, but otherwise it was left to run for another day, the only other time we killed them was if they were not in a fit state to be released...

to be honest i have to kill because i am always with keepers on large shot estates,i understand why people let them run but i have no choice.
