Guest Scuba1
This is one of the most interesting threads that we have had on here for a long time. A bit sad but very interesting. Here is another angle to things. We expect tolerance, if not acceptance from the non hunting people, but when I read some of the replies on here. Like: "That fat guy who was crying and nearly being sick really pis*ed me off tho what a puff!!" "and the fat bloke and the fekin blondie got on my tits the soft sh....." and more posts like it. Don't get me wrong, I am not picking at anyone on here, I just think, that there should be some kind of tolerance if not understanding on our side as well if we want to change things and put our way of life in a better light as far as the general public goes, there are more of them then there are of us at the end of the day and I for one want to keep it that way because if every Tom dick and h=Harry runs around the countryside with a shot gun under his arm, there will not be anything left to put in the pot after a day out and all we can hope for is, that our ways will be accepted in the long term. I find it frustrating sometimes, when people think, that meat grows in plastic wrappers, but unfortunate as that may be, it is the way a hell of a lot of them think, just like they think that electrickery comes out of a socket in the wall without giving it another thought how it got there in the first place. At the end of the day, it is the way they honestly think, as uneducated as it may be, but it is the sad truth. It is up to us and programs on television like that, to educate the masses, but it is not going to help if we jut stick our noses up at them and call them names. Just my two cents worth ATB Michael Edited January 7, 2009 by Scuba1

masmiffy 82
Saw it an laughed in places! Fuel for the antis with winged quarry left til morning! They had plenty of dogs just didnt look for it once it was down due to 'safety' I was always taught to pick birds as soon as, especially 'winged' ones, even if it means missing more shooting! As for the 'autopsy' comment how sad can you get?
Guest ferret feller
yer if you wing one deffently go find it or send a dog out looking...
Cornio 0
I don't quite get the safety thing on there, surely you shouldn't be firing at a height where you could hit someone on the ground?
claybusers al 9
as i thought it would be a good topic as a shooting instructor myself i think they should of spent more on the girl that wasnt allowed to shoot she would of maybe done and not hurt her self as for the ones who didnt want to shoot each to there own and yes everybody is right never leave a wounded animal even if it means no more are shot and i think there should have been a shooter in the group to even things up
Guest MY LAW
as i thought it would be a good topic as a shooting instructor myself i think they should of spent more on the girl that wasnt allowed to shoot she would of maybe done and not hurt her self as for the ones who didnt want to shoot each to there own and yes everybody is right never leave a wounded animal even if it means no more are shot and i think there should have been a shooter in the group to even things upthey probibly had a buget to stick to and limeted time so i dont think they wanted to spend time teaching some one to shoot.they probibly did send a dog for the injured bird but could not find it ,so not to make it look bad infront of the vegies they continued into the dark but to no avail ,and who knows was the duck that the keeper turned up with the same one ,or one shot to represent the missing one because they made it turn out all good in the end for the TV [some thing we shall never know ] i only say this through experence with a TV company doing a similar thing .ATB
