socks 32,253 Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 well the welsh contingent were late arriving yestarday morning ... well who can blame them from not wanting to leave the land of the gods ... anyway by the time they arrived and had their obligatory breakfast roll and we loaded the truck and got to the land it was nearly 10.00 before we got a ferret in the ground ......... it was a windy old day which never helps with the bolting of rabbits on this particular piece of land ... they would rather stay to ground and try thier luck with the ferrets ... however the ferrets worked really well and we only had 4 digs all day with the deepest being 3 foot so not to bad ....... it was bitter cold and when the action slowed up you could feel the ice wind cutting right through you ... at 3.30 pm we had a big old warren left to do and we decided that we would be pushing it for light so thought best leave it for another day ...... a good day all round in great company and 32 rabbits for 5 hours is not to bad going ............. A WINDY OLD DAY ......... WAITING FOR A BOLT ..... THE FIRST OF THE DAY ......... WELL CAUGHT IN THE WEB ......... THE YOUNG DOG HAD SOME DECENT RUNS ....... THE BOSNIAN REFUGE WITH HIS DINNER GIVING A MASTERCLASS IN THE CORRECT WAYS OF DIPATCHING A CONEY ......... END OF DAY PIC .......... Quote Link to post
