ianrob 2
had about 20 over two week ,and now all the bait goes but the trap dont go off!! could this be mice or small rats thanks mark You could try forcing them onto the edge of the plate to get maximum leverage, possibly a couple of bits of fence wire pushed into the ground. Also the plate looks very low, nearly touching bottom, could it be bent a little, if so lift it in the set position and bend it up an 1/8". Ps with safety on of course. ian Edited December 13, 2008 by ianrob Quote Link to post
RatSnatcher 0
Most probably Mice, but try to keep your bait from under the trap, as it does look to be a little low, but maybe just the pic, if you have any old fat from cooking an english breakfast then coat the trap it looks like it could do with some lube.... Sterry 0
You can just about make out where somethings been over the top and the corn seems to be in a shape that would fit in a tunnel. Would this sort of trap be ok for stoats and mink?? Quote Link to post

Would this sort of trap be ok for stoats and mink?? Yes mate, I usually restrict the size of entrance to the tunnel, and guide them onto the outer edge of the plate where they have most leverage on the trap. You would need to use the Mk 6 version ie the fenn Rabbit trap for mink. The little Mk4 is ideal for stoats though, ian. Quote Link to post
