OUT TODAY

Recommended Posts

Decided to go to Dryburnside today as the quarries need a break, well from me :whistling: Arrived 9:30am to clear, ish sky & N/W breeze.I took the 2 adult jills today as sometimes the sets on here can be waterlogged in some parts. After a 15 minute yomp across the slippy paddock fields & marshland i arrived at the top of the burn.

Several rabbits ran into the dry stone walls & sets i was starting at,a 5 & 12+ holer i purse netted the 5 & ran the quickset around the other.I let things settle & i put both jills in the bigger set, result 2 in the quickset :yahoo: I then put 1 jill in the small set after about 10 mins a rabbit literally fell half dead into the purse net :icon_eek: .

I then moved downbank to a nice 10 or so holer, ran the net around it,put 1 jill in,another 2 into the quickset.

At the bottom of the bank i ran the quickset & purse netted a few holes on a spread out 15+ holer, only got 1 out of it which i was suprised at

I moved into the other field to do a tree root set, quickset & purse netted a few holes,2 on the other side of the fence :angel:I had a bite to eat & put 1 jill in & managed to bag 2,which 1 was recovering from myxi.I decided to call it a day as it was past 2pm & i had a very long uphill yomp ahead of me which i can honestly say nearly killed me!!!

End of day photo,8 rabbits & one bloke requiring oxygen :rofl:

It's all right on the way out, down the hill. It's the 30lb of rabbits to carry back up that does it!

Less of course 1/2lb of sandwiches which doesn't make much difference. Well done. Cheers, D.
