Now I dont know about you's but I have just noticed an advert goes something like this

ferreting permison wanted - permison arond notts derby anywere to ferret and fly harris hawk willing to pay

Location:

Nottinghamshire, Sutton-in-ashfield

Contact:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Now if this goes on any longer, whereby the farmers sees this sort of thing, you can say goodbye to your days of legal permission for FREE and the days of poaching are coming back. The day I have to Pay to clear someones vermin,is the day I hang up my coat and burn my stuff...

lets get some rules set here

1.Getting rid of rabbits,YOUR doing the landowner a favour, saves him paying a pest controller

2.The more the adverts the farmer sees like the one above, that someone is willing to pay him x amount. YOU will also have to do the same.

3If anyone from the above area NOTTS knows whos doing this ,give the guys head a shake.

RANT over not a happy chappy on seeing this scrawled on the net :wankerzo4:

I undersatnad what your saying akton, But if one individual is willing to pay for thier sport i cant see a problem. Most of us get our sport for free, Like you say if we are controling rabbits etc we are doing the landowner a favour. May be this guy is not that well connected and doesnt know any landowners off hand or is new to sports. And just needs a start.

I really dont see the problem in paying for permission to enjoy your sport........most would think nothing of paying a couple of hundred quid for a day on a decent partridge shoot.......some pay much more for grouse or stalking.........clays will cost you £40 odd quid..........fishing anything from £20 to £500 for a club/syndicate.......lots more for a decent stretch of bank on a good salmon river.

Its thats blokes money and he wants to pay, good luck to him..........no one is forcing others to pay, those that dont want to will have to continue to look for the freebies.

As an example, a day on the shoot I beat at will cost something like 7 or 8 grand for a team of a dozen guns!!

I think some of you are missing my point

say for instance you had moles digging up your garden , you would call out the moleman .therefore would you expect him (the moleman) to pay the customer for allowing him to remove the moles that are causing the nuisance.

wilf you said "really dont see the problem in paying for permission to enjoy your sport........most would think nothing of paying a couple of hundred quid for a day on a decent partridge shoot.......some pay much more for grouse or stalking.........clays will cost you £40 odd quid..........fishing anything from £20 to £500 for a club/syndicate.......lots more for a decent stretch of bank on a good salmon river."

Totally different ball game shooting game and catching Salmon,I am on about ferreting and letting your Hawk out

maybe getting the odd rabbit or 2
