Bolt and dig

Out today with big toe and joe cash of here,first earth we tried is one we have dug before and has always provided us with good sport,with well educated game,we entered the old smasher dog and he met his quarry shortly after,it was a big spot covering a fair bit of ground,he gave the dog the run around for a good hour,intent not to go to a stop end,the dog stuck to the task in hand keeping him under pressure and never letting up,he eventualy got a stop on him at 1.6 on the b and f.when we broke through the dog had him mid tube,no way this was going to a stop end,he knew the drill,been there done that.as we dug on to the dog he broke free and bolted.a good beast and i take my hat of to him,im sure we'll meet again.left the camera in the van so no pics of that dig.on to the next one a few miles down the road,had this one before at 7 foot,different story today though only a foot and a half and there was mo way the old rusell dog was letting this one away,let the dog settle for a while,dug down in a matter of minutes lifted dog and let game run for another day

Cracking day by all the russell just wont give up a cracking beast lets hope the pups work as well as he does.
