Bagpuss 0
Had a Fourtrac Van for a bit, excellent tow vehicle and not too juicy.I did also rate the old Isuzu petrol 3.2 a bit juicy but loads of power.

forest of dean redneck 12,009
Whats peoples opinion on the landy 200tdi engine...? the 200 is noisey when wellied compared to 300tdi.but easier for the diy mechanic.any petrol 4x4 is going to be thirsty better to buy estate car like a passat.montego countryman estates good if you can keep rust out of it.engines end up in series landies when body rusts out.i have a 1962 landy with a rover sd1 v8 petrol mated to a rangy 3 speed auto.and fourtrak powersteering. tons of fun but costs a fiver every time i start it.plus bugger all room in rear. Guest HAWKEYE
picked up the latest car today guys.....Thanks for all your input but went down to a dealership near bolton to get my new wheels..A SPECIAL EDITION FREELANDER KNOWN AS "THE FELL - LANDER" Its not got a lot of ground clearance , and its hibrid fuel of warm fosters, black sheep ale, welsh cakes and butties gives it a ruddy coloured bonnet. Its metallic finish is perhaps described as "BHS YELLOW" , Its a single seater equipped with a booster cushion for the pilot and has room in the back for a badly made dog box , plastic childs spade and 2 yorkie x chihaua dogs... jobs a gud un!!!! rob reynolds uk 3
for the money you will not beat the disco 200tdi 0r 300tdi with good tyres you will get any were and theres loads of room for the driver and dogs ,fourtrack too small and very bumpy off road [would never have one these, there a ladies car ], Isuzu Trooper 3.1 TD lwb, very good on road shit off road if you keep road tyres on it ,but has a cracking engine good motor ,90 or defender 200tdi or 300tdi is one of the best going but to small in side for the driver if your over 6ft or weigh over 15stone, but great if you kill loads of stuff as you can jet wash the back out hilux too pricey and over rated,........go for the disco its a go any were car its cheep on parts and easy to fix if they do go wrong which they dont, just dont thrash them and they will last for ever which ever 4x4 you get it does help if you put some good off road tyres on it ,road tyres will just get you stuck in the mud no matter what 4x4 it is
