Purse netting without ferrets

I've just been shown how to purse netting using smoke pellets instead of ferrets to chase the rabbits out.

Great fun, highly successful, cheap and easy to do.

Smoke generated with plumbers pipe test smoke cartridges.

Rabbits bolted from the warren in seconds and I didn't get bitten by an overexcited ferret.

 

Anyone else tried it?

i didnt think rabbits would bolt with smoke???? i always thought they would stay down a die?? iv got a gas rat smoker would that work???

Never tried to bolt them with out ferrets but put purse nets down and flushed a few out of standing crops with the dogs into the burrow

yeah right mate john b tried it and it didnt work i have aso tried it with a rat smoker and it didnt work

well obviously a rat smoker won,t work , you need a rabbit smoker for rabbits , durr

I've tried it once when trying to get a chain saw smoker to work.I bolted 1 rabbit might have been only 1 at home,never tryed it since.Might give it another try you have all got me wondering

Ferreting is more fun and tryed and tested.P1

i hope this isn't a wind up because if it is i have been had, but i would love to know if this works before i go out and stock up on smoke bombs, there is no chance of me having ferrets this could be a actual alternative ????

get a few mate and try it there only 1 50 for two at my joke shop and i bet there alot cheapr on ebay or something? give it a go?

hell stuff it, if its a wind up i have been had good and proper,

i am gonna get some, i got a mate thats a plumber going to ask him to sub me a few and go and try, see if i can bolt a few to the shotgun !!!!

i rekon it would only work on a small warren, as smoke rises and deeper the warren the less rabbit will bolt.
