BBB 7 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Share Posted October 14, 2008 TT. a mate of mine kept and grafted them some year's back. smooth coated, bull headed ,black with the odd chocolate. patterdale type. i have to say they were no better or worse than the other strain's kept around me at the time. there was a book written a few year back called. he's out dogging . by robert booth. it will tell you more about wheeler,his strain ect. there was also mention of the strain going to ireland and a guy's name over there who kept em.. downsouth 6,837 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Share Posted October 16, 2008 alrite downsouth whats the breedin of the black dog in your avtar is that a wheeler dog ??? .No hes the litter brother to my old bitch meg,they were out of a gould bred bitch to an old nuttal bred dog.Mr Wheeler has been down and used the dog on the dog on a couple of his own bitches and i have had some good results useing wheeler bred stuff which my mate had over meg.Mr wheeler has a bitch at the moment out of meg back to her son which was by my mates wheeler dog Charlie and i have two pups on at the moment out of the same Meg/Charlie son to a bitch out of megs brother and when meg comes in season next year im going to put a Charlie son from a different bitch on her as the blood seems to work really well her Quote Link to post
