ELDERLY GENT SEEKS GARMIN OR TOM TOM ...

Recommended Posts

Could any members of this unique Hunting Man's Website please give me some advice... :hmm:

I am being contracted to undertake more and more rabbit and mole jobs in out of the way areas, that might best be described as being in 'Dueling Bango's' country'... :laugh:

Indeed,..I have spent most of the day going around in ever decreasing circles,..and asking directions from folk that are the product of an incestuous 'brother and sister' mating,.is wasteful in the extreme.. 'Porkine Grunts and garbled unterences ' don't realy help me much.... :no:

SO,..what is the best kind of Sat Nav for me to purchase..?

What are the 'pros and con's' of these reputedly useful items ?

Is there one to avoid...?

Any info gratefully received....

Many thanks,..CHALKWARREN... :drink:

Just read the map while your driving, waaaaaay more interesting :clapper: who needs yet another woman with a whiney voice telling you what to do and where to go? :clapper:

The joy of sat nav is you can have a male or female voice, the male directions are along the lines of "take a left, drive along and it might be there, although don't ask for directions", the female, well to be honest I can't remember as I switch off :tongue2:

As an alternative why not consider the Nokia Navigator range of phones which have SAT NAV built in which does the job fine and you can get it on a contract for FREE ! also means there is less chance you leave it in the car for someone to see and smash and grab it!

Good luck whatever you choose.

They go something along the lines of;

Turn around now! You're obviously going the wrong way!

google map, befor you set off :thumbs: just put the post code in

Sounds good to me, though sometimes the last 3 miles to some fecking hicks nest is the hardest as invariably the place aint near the allotted settlement rather some other hamlet that long since wasged its hands of that particular social mishap.

Low range Tom tom (wide screen for your ageing eyes - well it helps mine) They get expensive and to be honest unless you are of the intelligence that would use nettles to wipe yon are then they are a waste of valuable funds.
