sue 1
there are several reasons why your hob has gone thin and breathing fast ,i would phone the vets back up and insist they see him Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Is he panting like a dog or is is basically laboured breathing Quote Link to post
diggermad 154
hes not panting just taking quick breaths with mouth shut he will eat the eggs and day old chicks but his dry food can be there for over a day cheers he suffers alot with blocked anal glands but the vet sorts that out free of charge cheers Quote Link to post
sue 1
sounds like his glands could be infected and he is suffering with a high temperature Quote Link to post
Malt 379
If he's eating the day old chicks, why not give him more meat? Maybe he's sick of the dry, I would be! Quote Link to post

cometa300s 20
try a bit of liquid based protein see if you see any difference. blend a few bits and bobs up for him. all the best liam Quote Link to post
Coatesy900 0
Try putting some rabbit blood (if you can get it) in a SEPERATE water bottle. If he will drink it the blood proteins should help healthen* him up a bit. You will need to change it for fresh very regularly however as it will thicken quickly and will probably clog up the valve. *word made up... Edited September 3, 2008 by Coatesy900 Quote Link to post
