You are limited in your options if the dog is entire.

1. Keep them seperate

2. Get the bitch jabbed

3. Breed a litter

Option two would perhaps be best?

What do you mhe dog jabbed?? can you? And would it not make her ill, should a dog not be aloud to have a season?

1. Keep them seperate

Excellent idea, would'nt it be great if more people thought of that.

 I agree, it's not rocket science is it?

I think he was being sarcastic!! Meaning it was a pretty daft answer! If i could keep them seperate i would.

And optiob 2 isnt an opinion. As i have now spoke to 3 vets about it, and it is said to be quite danger to stop a dog haveing a season, as it traps all the toxins in her body...

option 1 then .

... unless : you can do without your bitch for the beginning of season starting , you have the space and time and money to cope with a litter of pups , is she worth having a litter of pups , do you have a suitable dog to put over her ? do you reckon you can find homes for the pups ? .. all questions need answering before considering breeding . and if your asking a forum what to do , then id saftly go with option 1 ... ;)

Why can't you separate them? Can't you beg/borrow/buy a cage which you put up in another room for the bitch to go in while she's in season? I've currently got a couple of bitches in season: they get caged in my study for the duration, and get taken out separately to the dogs. It's only for 3 weeks after all.

If your'e not going to breed then it is unfair on both, especially the dog, and you as well LOL to leave them together and keep shouting at the dog to leave the bitch alone, oh, and by the way: it only takes a second for a keen dog with good aim to get locked with a bitch!

I don't intend to ever breed off mine ... even if she turned out to be a world beater (which I highly doubt ) there's enough good dogs around. I've decided to spay her before her season, as she's not had one yet and is 10 months old. She goes in next week. I can't cope with a bitch in season living in the house, and having to keep her on lead for three weeks - she would drive me mad.

Borrow a cage off someone so you can separate her for a bit. Or have you a mate with a bit of kennel space you could use?

She is well worth breeding when she is old enough. It is her first season mate.
