The one 8,585
Aye if you can drive you should be able to change a bloody tyre .but most folk join the rescue services as they can get six tyres changed in a years membership which i find shocking
MR TEA POT 1,287
I drive a van for a living AND it is company policey that no drivers, under any circumstances, are allowed to change a flat tyre, they also say we are not insured to do so. So the boss as took all the spare tyres of the vans and if we get a flat we have to ring the RAC.......and wait for about two hours .They say if we change the tyre, and say it falls off we will have to pay for any damage to the van in the event of a accident. Not that many of the drivers are complaining, sat on the embankment for two hours in the sunshine waiting for a rac man. :toast:Not very nice in winter mind Edited July 23, 2008 by MR TEA POT

maty j 6
Well, she actually should know better, her husband was a driving instructor, and she is supposed to be ultar-sensible working in an IT company I did a course after passing my test mate and got taught how to do it "properly" then but I think it should come in the driving training. They teach you about checking oil, coolent etc so why not how to get going once broken down - tyres, jump start and other basic stuff. You like a camp man then BC

"...yes.." "what about any other things i need to know if the car breaks and you're not around to fix them?" "......should i be expecting poison in my dinner any time soon?" Ah...Blue - you crack me up!!! I can change a tyre, but t'would be lovely to be asked if I needed a hand. Gentlemen are rare things that woman have stamped out in their quest for equality. Bring back the gentleman!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's nice to offer a hand, whatever sex the flailing party is. If I see someone by the side of the road, I always ask if they're ok - ten to one, they'll have a mobile, but a couple of times people have been really grateful for a lift or a push. I should've been a bloke - I'd make a cracking gent!!!
