Irish Lurcher 1,013
Fook me, are these boys for real, how is it almost every opinion given on this site turns into a row, if ya dont like the beast then stay stump Quote Link to post
keg 1
if you cant say enything nice about a persons dogs dont say anything at all .you ask for everything you got . i own the dad to the black and white one on the photo he is a very hard dog if not to hard like they say hard dogs dont live long . there will be a nice litter of pups with some of the best lines in uk [in my opinion] all spoken for no money changing hands no problem Quote Link to post
barolo 4
But you have got to understand that breeding from untested stuff will never sit right with some.......me included. Good post WILF. Thats the problem, to many terrier getting bred for stamp/type now. Not many are breeding from tested stock. look at the bully type thread on here. I know some of the owners, and they haven't worked dogs for a number of yrs, yet they are still breeding pups. This, I know how its bred so I will take a chance and breed from him/her is the reason there is so many nervous scatty highly strung terriers about. If you cant find a good working stud from the line you keep, then its got to be worker to worker. Quote Link to post
Guest SHOT
theres nothing nice about a picture of a 14 month old pup tied to a bitch, too young to be sung up as worthy. why not use the sire of the pup instead? Quote Link to post
damashaman 1
Because the sire, a well seasoned dog is just too damn hard, a fantastic dog yes, but he's got a short life expectancy. The dog I used is diluted perfectly. When I say diluted even then it is diluted with proven earth dog ancestry. I have tried breeding with dead or dying dogs before with no results, in fact it nearly extinct my line of dogs in the past, which I like to say are a little different to the average white stuff. White fells only harder I call them. You can add too much bull however. This bloodline on the mums side I have only disclosed the father's breeding. The reast took me 15 years to achieve, and now it is way too tight. I am merely aquiring some stock to "play with" as I am down to the bitch in the pic, her granddaughter and some stuff farmed out on terms. And terms are notorious for not coming to fruition. So in dumb ass terms I am collecting a bit of stock now for the future. I really should not need to justify my actions, if I was breeding to make money, It would be a drop in the ocean anyway, compared to the doses of white things churned out year in year out (and from some big names too) that are not remotely on a par with these. Remember I DO NOT BREED SHOW DOGS ,THESE DOGS GET SNIFFED AT AT TERRIER SHOWS! Quote Link to post
sulurian 3
I don,t understand where the "show" element came in to the thread. People just questioning the use of unproven dog,s however strong your lines are. Not questioning your "right" to do it ,as you say thier your dogs to breed as you like. But if you post on a terrier website that your breeding unproven dog,s then what do you expect.Let,s ALL keep it civil though... damashaman 1
If that bitch were a pit dog she would be r.o.m She has not needed to prove herself, she has consistantly produced sound game earth dogs. The sire does not need to prove anything either, that line is rock steady. I am just taking an oportunity to aquire some decent stock, as she is now around 8 and will not last forever. That dog can prove himself this back end, I know it will. not a mention of how gavmac was out of order and overly hostile. These lines have proved themselves beyond a doubt. Your all very judgemental and am sure many of you live in glass houses no? Such perfect terrier men. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Thread tidied, no need for threats over a few opinions. Quote Link to post
Guest mudhole
I don,t understand where the "show" element came in to the thread. sulurian here.s the show quote you must have missed ................................................................................ ................................................................................ . .......................................................... " That bitch has produced both show winners and exeptional working dogs before, and from things bred not half as good as him (work wise) " and "Remember I DO NOT BREED SHOW DOGS ,THESE DOGS GET SNIFFED AT AT TERRIER SHOWS " now i,m confused if this is the same bitch Edited July 11, 2008 by mudhole Quote Link to post
Guest WILF
She has not needed to prove herself, I am no "terrierman", but thats a crock of shite if ever I heard it..........statements like that are nonsense. So many folk (and dogs) have been the victim of people breeding untested shite (me included) that crap like that just dont stand up I am afraid. Edited July 11, 2008 by WILF Quote Link to post
