Aled 562
Cant be sure if i've seen a Ghost or not. I do a lot of nigh sea trout fishing, so i've been out and about at the right time for ghosts! On one occasion i was cycling to the river and i saw my neighbour in the field checking his fence line, (he was a farmer) it was only when cycling back home i remembered he'd died three months earlier. Was it his brother cheking the fence??? Secondly i said to good evening (in Welsh) to an old Gentleman wearing a flat cap and carrying a walking stick, he was there one minute, gone the next! On neither occasion was i particularly scared, more a feeling of "whats going on here?". However in July 2005, on walking back from a stretch of river i've fished for 20 years, i did not feel happy unless i had the torch on. Definately a night when the hairs on the back of my neck stood. Kept looking over my shoulder, a feeling of "somethings not right here" .What scared me i dont know, i went back there the following night, and walked back without any fear. Very Strange??? Groverdog 0
The farmhouse i live in definately has a 'spirit' or feeling about it that is very comforting. I always feel watched over and safe when my partner is away. But a pal of mine was uneasy about the feeling she got. (And i hadnt told her i thought there was a spirit about) I did a bit of reasearch and i am the 3rd Charlotte that has lived here (fisrt ones were in the 1800's) charlotte is not a common name up here so i would like to think its the original charlotte looking after me. And i always celebrate Samhain. Mackem thats a great thing your in laws do. Honouring the dead and not being scared of the dead.

droid 11
Interesting point DS makes re Martin. Face to face I'd probably say the same thing, but I'd probably expand it by saying that if someone came up with a plausible, scientifically valid explaination then my opinions might change. We live in a 4-D world. What's to say there isn't a 5th dimension we haven't a clue about?

Missie 1
I'm extremely open minded. Whilst i've never seen what can be described as a ghost as a member of a paranormal investigation team I have seen and felt things that I personally can't explain. I might be a geek or whatever but this is something that has fascinated me all my life and I was honoured to be invited into the group. There are some very spiritual people there and the group founder felt that I would make a good addition. I have been pushed in a room that I know was empty, seen and heard some strange things and since joining the group in which I feel very secure and comfortable I have opened up to more things. Its not something I can really explain unless you are open minded to it and know what i'm talking about. The founder of the group is also a landlady and runs ghost walks around her pub and I can genuinely say they are not rigged. Anyone in Sussex who fancies experiencing it PM me for more details but we are running one on 5th july.

droid 11
Point to make here..... There's a big difference between being 'open minded' and 'gullible' I firmly believe that open mindedness needs to be tempered by a healthy dose of scepticism.
