ianm 2,594
someone i know had one of these twenty odd years ago and it was an excellent pot filler, killed plenty of hares but he hunted them up and killed them before they really got going. he was a bit of a pain for fighting to as i recall. brother fox 1
Plenty of them used in Australia. Usually between 24 to 27 inches at the shoulder and all that red airedale colour. Good in the swamp and heavy cover and blackberry infested areas where you dont want an overly fast dog. Quote Link to post

rolly 0
would be nice to see interesting, just finding a line of working airdale. Don't know about over the pond, but there are several very good lines over in the States used on bears, mt. lion, bobcat, coon, badger, coyote, fox, pheasant, ducks, just about anything. I use mine for fur and for fun take her bird hunting, but I don't work on obedience so she isn't the best bird dog, but will flush pheasants. Pre-haircut Post-haircut Quote Link to post

skycat 6,174
hi am after a half cross airdale x greyhound. mother must be greyhound and dad must be airdale money waitin 4 right dog pup Why must the dam be a greyhound? You could have a bit of a wait either way, unless someone who has a dog is willing to let it be used over such a bitch. I shan't be breeding from my bitch for at least another year or so: she's just 12 months old now. And I'll say it again: they are not the easiest dogs in the world to train: very strong huntaway instinct and slow to mature: when I breed my litter they'll be going to approved homes only. I'd hate to think what they'd be like in the hands of impatient people who can't train a dog! Quote Link to post
Guest miller1989
bull/airedale/greyhound 25-26 tts Nearly 2years old,its like training a saluki, hard work,BUT as you said they are very hard workers excellent prey drive, speed, and stamina, slow at maturing is the only pain, but its all good in the end!
