speedlamper 0
i know all too well what happens when people carry knifes.. long story short: few weeks ago was at a mates party, all good untill about 11:30 when a car pulled up out side and 3 kids in hoods and mask's jumped out ran into back garden and slashed 2 of my mates one of then got slashed 4 times twice on face one on arm and on chest, the other got one slash down his face. one mate lamped one of the kids with a baseball bat but he managed to get away. police turned up hours after they had drove off and did little to help and never even interviewd us only the 2 that got slashed. f***ing useless pigs i take it you were all drinking at the party? your own description is 3 kids in hoods and masks, you ask for that description of a load of drunk people and where's it going to get you? none of you would be able to give evidence in court so what would be the point in taking a statement yeah a spose your right there pal but they didn't even ask if we saw what car they were in or got a reg num what was the reg no.? Tallyho 181
ive got a lad of 11 and im dreading the day when he wants to start going in to town with his mates, cause it just aint safe any more, we had it last week round this area, a lad stabed another lad in the neck for sleeping with his missis, they were about 19, whats happened to sorting things out the good old fashioned way ?????? oxo 537
In my opinion its just one more example of how pathetically weak our society has become.....i remember being a young un and anybody caught carrying a weapon would have the piss taken out of them for months by their own pals.....carrying a weapon was seen as weak and meant you didnt have the balls to use your fists, feet or whatever else it took.....things were just as rough back then as they are now but folk did have a little pride about themself unlike now where this twisted reversed society makes a young un think his mate is tough if he DOES carry a tool......madness ! I agree with what you are saying Gnasher but i know a lot of "hard men" and a few " psychos" that are willing to use blades or guns for whatever reason, the hard men are terrified of the skinny twat with a blade that will use it there and then or come back when you least expect it. Theres a lot of difference between carrying a knife and using it to maim or kill someone for little or no reason when you are stone cold sober.

Bang on mate, i only know one lad that can have a fight and has cut someone badly too, you do not need to be a hard man with a 8" kitchen knife in your hand its a great equaliser. dare 1,103
Could it be just that the media has startd to use the knife crime as main stories rather than things actually getting worse. Alot of the older genoration always say it wasnt like that in my day and i dont know if when im old ill say the same but people stabbing each other has always been around and always will be. I dont carry any knife my self and if i was jumpd by a group of lads and wasnt stabbd id actually be gratful..if i was given the chance to have a straightner with someone id actually jump at the chance lol The worse thing is why people are stabbed, some loose their life for the most pitty reasons im not sure if the people know that they have taken the person for ever and when caught they have thrown away their life. Best to just adviod trouble and if a knife gets pulled out leg it.

dare 1,103
Any ideas on a solution then? they say give the youth more stuff to do blabla and thats fine in some cases but once they get abit older they dont want to go to a center and play pool or something they want to make money so get envolved in other things not saying everyone who stabs someone is a drug dealer or something but can bet most of em dont work.
