I was expelled and out working at 14 myself but you don’t have to stay a prick forever, walking round school with a massive chip on my shoulder giving not one f**k about anything or anyone….thats a one way ticket to being a massive prick all your life.

I didn’t have any formal education but I had enough sense to know I didn’t want to be that bloke…..you have to grow up.

But, having subsequently had experience of the education system, interacted with kids and parents in all sorts of ways and while I can agree that cream does rise to the top in many circumstance…..sometimes it don’t, sometimes it needs a helping hand, because there are some very, very nice kids in the world and while they may not end up a genius they are capable of being better than their environment……sadly, for many, the environment buries them first before they have a chance to get going.
