Cheers.

And it's only  The Daily Mail claiming he will withdraw tonight. It has been known to back the wrong horse in the past.lol

He may do, but there's the little problem of congressional approval and convincing, an increasingly  skeptical electorate to convince that would be the correct course of action.

Well, I’m not worried…..Jukels mate Zack Polanski is going to sit Putin down and suggest that we all just play nice and that will do the trick !

Point of information. Zack will  hypnotise everybody to be nice and  also hypnotise all women to have larger tits.

Result ? A happy world. You know it makes sense.

Yeah I’m not challenging that bit. But is he forced to militarily react as he is the commander of the military not congress. So, Russia attacks Estonia/UK, art 5 is invoked, but POTUS says “yeah bad luck”. Ultimately I wonder what congress could do in that situation? I wonder what the rest of NATO could do… I suspect in both instances, not a lot.

I don’t know, conventional norms seem to be put aside in times of war, act now, discuss the legalities later.

Ive heard many anti Trump pro Starmer commentators claim that NATO  is a purely defensive force and can’t get into offensive wars as an excuse for not joining the war against Iran, but what about Bosnia ?
After the atrocity of Srebrenica, NATO entered the war against the Serb Republic,

None of the belligerents were members of NATO, so article 5 couldn’t have been enacted.

Apparently rules can be bent to fit the situation.

Cheers.

Trump is POTUS, but frankly, I doubt he has a real grasp of the job. I suspect he doesn't really  know himself what is going to come out of his mouth during a speech. He famously does not read, so he relies on his backroom 'handlers' to tell him what to say and what to think. Fox News has a great influence on Trump according  to independent commentators. Which is weird, the media is supposed to report the news, not decide it.

I think he's a useful idiot in that he is a great communicator but with that electoral appeal comes fuckwittery. So what he says and what he does are completely different. And what he does is determined by shadowy backroom people.

Replace “Trump” with “Starmer “;

“POTUS” with “Prime Minister”;

”Fox News” with “BBC” ;

and we have exactly the same scenario👍

Remember Starmers “Island Of Strangers” speech ?

He didn’t write it, never read it and didn’t, as he later asserted, believe it 😂

Yes  , I know you profess to hate Starmer, my point is they are mostly as bad as each other for lying to us 👍

Cheers.

Nah. Trump is a professional, chronic, accomplished, habitual, unashamed liar. Different class to what we've ever seen in the political world.

That’s a fair point but during Bosnia were all NATO members expected to contribute? Or was it just a case of a NATO force/command of willing nations? Which makes a lot of sense as NATO is probably the most prepared structure for commanding a multinational force.

But on this theme I think, as usual, Trumps messaging here has been terrible. There was no need to even mention NATO, he simply needed to say “our European allies”, and he would’ve avoided all the counter arguments of NATO being defensive and frankly got to the point.

All of Mandelsons false or misleading statements have seemed to have been on a phone pinched by a teenage black mugger on a bike, if we are to believe Starmer and co 😂

And Blair and Campbell “dodgy dossier” took us into an illegal war 😂

Cheers.

Now if it was a black buggerer on a bike, I'd believe it.

Heigh ho, when you've lived with Arabs for a good part of your life. Some of their cultural practices are bound to rub off.
