Two great but very underrated players imo. On today's pitches they would have been elite premiership, if not world class players imo.

I saw Jimmy Johnstone play on a number of occasions. I also saw George Best. Imo Jimmy was as good as Best. But playing in the Scottish league he didn't get the recognition he deserved, plus he wasn't good looking by any stretch, so media exposure, and tarts didn't come calling in the same way that they eventually consumed Best. Unfortunately Jimmy had demons of his own..drink. The same for JR. Clough famously called him a scruffy, fat b*****d who he liked sitting beside because he felt handsome in contrast to Jimmy.. But he also called him" The Picasso of football." He was a quiet, reliable player who nevertheless had moments of footballing genius. When Clough arrived he was a nondescript midfield player who was on the transfer list. Clough turned him into the special winger that he was. I've never seen anybody better at consistently delivering pinpoint crosses. Edited 9 hours ago by jukel123

If im not wrong it was Robertson who put the cross over for the Trevor Francis header than won Forest the European Cup....iconic goal that i believe it was Francis first game after becoming the first million pound player ?.....although i might be wrong. I remember Robertson he used to get a lot of stick down at West Ham,he carried a fair bit of weight and would get called " fat bum " whenever he got the ball, seems infantile looking back !....but he could certainly shift for a " fat lad "......as said above for putting in pinpoint crosses on the move there was none better.
