omegathelast 169
As I have pointed out in the General and Lurcher sections, it is highly likely that ferreting with dogs, lurcher work and other currently exempted hunting will also get mopped up in the proposed bill to ban trail hunting, in a similar way to Scotland. That means no more rabbiting and effectively a complete end to what is left of lawful Lurcher work and ferreting with dogs in the UK. We must be vigilant and at least try and engage in any consultations and the process, if there is any small hope of salvaging what’s left of that part of our precious rural heritage. Whilst not perfect, engaging with organisations like CA and Hunting Kind for guidance might be a good place to start. Good luck. Quote 1 Quote Link to post

terryd 9,022
It’s a fact hunting with dogs is doomed at all levels. terryd 9,022
Hunting of any kind will never win any votes . Only got see all the comments on fb about the trail hunting. This is where the hunting kind folks I think may have an angle with this heritage thing. If they can do anything about it remains to be seen. 1 Quote Link to post
Leeview 796
by the next general election can see hunting will be sorted and gone with the majority labour are holding? great turn out on Boxing day where the hunts were not welcome throughout the country, will marches do any better this time? possibly if coordinated alongside the farmers with tractors? 2 Quote Link to post

I can't help feeling farmers only get involved when it effects farming. But there is a common enemy in the establishment, but how many farmers will vote conservative even though they spent three terms running the country into the ground, maintaining illegal immigration and pushing for net zero , not doing much for Britain full stop just like labour now. Hopefully we get reform UK and they do what's been promised .... Quote Link to post
