But a lot of bull have whippet put in back down the line . Put that across a one track pony like a saluki and you’ll get something half decent … some breeders definitely put Stafford blood into whippets ,they plenty of muscled up whippets about ,some lines are bigger stronger types than others and it probably comes from having bull blood down the line. 1 Quote Link to post

My pup goes back to mike browns dogs on working side moonlake ñimrodel Laguna on coursing side and oakbark pencloe dutch gold showing side but when you look at pedigree all go back to tiptree dogs from 20s 30s can't see no missed pedigree in her breeding and she's true to type mother 17 1/2 tts so not so sure on bull added. But I believe bull and terrier was added to greyhound to produce the whippet at the start Edited 2 hours ago by James88 1 Quote Link to post

But I believe bull and terrier was added to greyhound to produce the whippet at the start I'm in no way saying your dog isn't a pure whippet ,what I'm trying to say is most whippets used as rag dogs etc back in the day had some very game staff bull added and that still probably shows in some lines of whippets today, remember a lot of pure bred types have had other things added generations back but still got a KC Edited 1 hour ago by Moocher71 2 Quote Link to post

shaaark 11,480
@Moocher71 and James88. Just been checking, ideal height and weight for italian greyhounds is 12-15 inches tts and about 10-12lb ish weight. But there are loads that are 16-18" tts and 15-20lb in weight. Just thought it might be of interest? And, incidentally, Italian greyhounds are my 17 year old lad's favourite breed, and he's been been asking for one for about 3-4 years. But no, we ain't getting one of them. Edited 52 minutes ago by shaaark Quote Link to post
