Have you a picture of the one you have ? A trammel properly rigged has excellent catching ability,

If the meshes are small then it hasn’t been made properly. Send it back,  We have a couple of netriggers (bill) trammels are they are brilliant in all the time we have used them we haven’t had a single bounce off or escape once a rabbit hits them at any speed even just a fast hop they ain’t getting out.  I know a few ppl find it hard to get rabbits out of trammels but personally we don’t find a problem.  If it’s trammels your after netrigger is the main man trammels made properly and a decent bloke to deal with.
