THE STIFFMEISTER 17,020
Very very jealous . I was a massive oasis fan growing up and saw them at Loch Lomond , Manchester , Glasgow and Newcastle various times. I am a bit of an oasis nerd and am disappointed in the title of the thread Scotty as I was expecting the whole oasis masterplan conspiracy theory to be discussed here . how was the gig mate ? @NEWKIDasks if they played wonderwall? scotty12 3,810
Was working yesterday was boiling hot and it got to about 15:45pn I said f**k this I’m gonna try my luck and go see oasis had a slight plan in my head that involved a wheelchair and a phone that never worked, so text the Mrs see if she knew anyone with a spare wheel chair she didn’t, so had a look on gumtree seen one for £50 paid for it bank transfer and picked it up on the way the Edinburgh. I didn’t get home from work until about 5ish quick shower changed sort the dogs and off we set ( the gates at the stadium opened at half 5 ) by the time we got there parked and walked to the stadium it was about 7:45pm so now we are at rocking upto stadium Mrs in the wheel chair we bought , got an old phone that doesn’t work connected to a power bank ( tickets are digital ) plan of attack all along was saying we broke down getting here hence arriving so late tickets were on the phone that couldn’t turn on and we couldn’t access them. gets to the gate couple boat people working on the gates explaining the situation they wouldn’t help us because everyone and there granny was trying there luck to get in but we persisted with the plan and after 10 mins got diverted to the outside the executive office where a native gladly took our phone and tried to charge it for us in the office ( obviously wouldn’t turn on ) standing for 5 minutes outside the gates comes out and hands us 2 bottles of water was a roasting night goes back into check the phone and says nope ain’t working it’s completely died we pretend to be gutted. he says don’t worry orders the gateman to open up and let us in ( Mrs in the heel chair must have been pulling on the heart strings) he says follow me and leads us around the stadium a bit and into an entrance down a ramp and right into the back of the stadium guides us along to a square built up podium for wheel chair access gets us wrist bands and shows us where to sit as we just got settled oasis just entered the stage perfect timing. The man was a proper gent and couldn’t thank him enough. now we are in there got our own private toilets and private bars easy accessible with no waiting in queues. literally up there with the best seats in the house. the gig was unreal up there with the best that was olds school British culture at its best. that’s a little short story on how we entered oasis for free might be fact might be fiction who knows but it sounds like a masterplan. Stavross 18,072
Absolute belter that my missus is going to see them in September, she got two tickets and thought I’d go with her, No Ta, too many people for me, so she’s taking her mate for a 3 day mini break to London, so I’ve got a 3 day mini break at home ( bliss )
