THE STIFFMEISTER 17,024 Posted Wednesday at 20:38 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 20:38 I don’t know if they would be the last of them , but about ten years ago my misses worked in sales for a wonderful quirky food company in deepest sleepy Suffolk called stokes sauces who were a delightful firm to work for . the owner was a magnificent chap to chat with , very old Suffolk money and his better known brother was once chairman of the English FA , he had a open policy with animals around the place and when you landed there could be lambs or pigs of chickens batting around the entrance to the offices . he had a couple of brace of old hoary deerhounds lounging around the place in sofas etc and he was gobsmacked one day when he made an off hand remark about they were the last of his Scottish aunties stock and I said Anastasia nobles ardkingglass lines. they were Bonny dogs like 2 Quote Link to post

Yes. From a Billy Doherty in Northumberland . The sire to the one in the snow was Doxhope Knights Errant and he told me the two on the cover of his book “Deerhounds and Deerhound Lurchers “, these two; were her grandparents and the bitch , Doxhope Ambecky, which is pictured in the book jumping a gate, was the best working pure he had.
