I've been watching a few boats that been up for sale, prices are definitely dropping, available with the moorings too...this one's caught my eye..need 2 bedrooms as a minimum 👍 seriously thinking about renting out our house and taking the plunge..

All depends on your time constraints really daughter has places to be and people to meet (boats being sold )so on quite a tight schedule but generally people just choose a loop that takes roughly how long they have to spare from here a typical loop journey would be about a fortnight up the Severn round canals and back down the Avon and some people just keep on going and have no home base daughters here at the moment lol

I was shooting there this morning.  Small world mate.

I was more interested in size of locks , size of boats, some routes may not be suitable for some boats,  not something I already knew and didn’t need to Google !
Just stay in your own post code mate, the adults are talking now ! LOL !

Cheers.

Come on charts , you know the score.

When Google doesn't know the answer , it asks mchull 😁

you can get a lot of boat for your money , i like the look of the wide beams but obviously your more limited to where you can get them, had a friend that lived on a narrow boat in kings cross and to be honest it felt really cramped and i couldn't hack that to be honest

That's a cracking boat Dan,if you rented the house you could use that money to cover monthly fee for mooring, you already know that lol looks the life, peaceful an frugal.

Greyman could you buy a wee bit of land on the canal an have your own mooring.

Very interesting this
