Ladybirds

Not quite 76 levels but anyone else getting hoards of ladybirds at the moment?

Saw a thing about it the other day. Don’t remember ‘76, but one year in the ‘80’s there was an infestation of them.., seemed to follow after few weeks where there were clouds of greenfly around every bush or tree.

I can't remember what year it was, but sometime in the mid 80s, my cousin and I were walking along the cliff walk from Charmouth to Lyme Regis (we were actually going to the Radio 1 Road Show with Gary Davies!) when we saw what we initially thought was a cloud. Within minutes this huge cloud became a swarm of millions of ladybirds coming over the sea and heading inland. An amazing sight.

Loads. In my garden at the moment …. Counted 20 on one plant around my pond the other day …. Got a few pics of  a few but nothing spectacular

It's the 1 bug that most people will handle even if there terrified of spiders and stuff

They’d be worth a few bob I expect .. Peter Jane and pat the dog ..

Think they might fetch good money nowadays, don't think he'd part with them tho
