Raising a pup is all part of the journey no different from a pet or working dog only difference is you’re getting more enjoyment at the end of it hopefully with a working dog. All the time and effort is worth it when you get to the point of slipping and making its first catch wether that be rabbit, hare or fox dog ect ect that buzz makes all the time and effort worth it pal. it’s alright paying money and buying older dogs in but how many honest people are in the dog game getting rid of good dogs ? Ask Marcus how many dogs he’s bought in before he gets a half decent one how many thousands of dollars wasted ? You hear about the ones that do alright never hear about the ones that are no good. The pups a crack dont get me wrong. In your 20s 30s your bang on. But when you get in your mid 40s 50s. Thats two years waiting nearly for a pup to come mature. If you've got the money and it doesn't break the bank. That couple of grand is worth it for a young dog already to spin. Come on you cant say it isnt. 1 Quote Link to post

Before the ban you was paying a grand for a well bred pup. But even then you'd be lucky to get one. Now every fuckers popping them out. 1 Quote Link to post

He'll be single by end of month. Lol To be fair mate I’ve had pups like that before been a nightmare in the house squeeling all night and shitting all over the place it’s a f***ing nightmare but I put time and effort into these pups to try and make the transition as smooth as possible for the owners get the pups in good routine and good habits. For Saluki x pups these are bold as brass and oozing with confidence nothing fazes them and I don’t tolerate that jumping up carry on or biting so that’s nailed in the head from an early age. the first pup to go cried for the first 25 mins at night then not a peep until 8 the next day and was out in the garden running about with the man’s spaniels happy as Larry not fazed one bit man’s says he’s settled in nicely. I’m starting to wonder if someone’s polecat has escaped and lined my bitch because some of there escape antics for their age is scandalous you’d have a heart attack mate lol that decking in just of 3ft tall and there climbing up it lol 3 Quote Link to post

Ain’t for me pal I enjoy bringing a pup on everyone’s circumstances are different and each to their own, but I’d rather raise my own any day of the week mate and atleast that way if I know there’s any fuckups with the dog then I’m to blame Quote Link to post

Wouldn't dream of buying the dogs without knowing they were fine around other dogs kenneled or in motors. Good around kids but many of these fellas kids are older fled nest. Greb will have some fun and chew off his miss too. Quote Link to post

Pardus 1,612
It is a faff just feeding raw, yesterday I have the pup some beef & tripe mince, this morning had some chicken & beef mince, ate it up no problem, gone to give it it's second feed and it's not interested. It's not like kibble where you can leave it down all day, 40 mins or so in this weather and it's ruined. Edited June 16 by Pardus Quote Link to post
