Just heard he has retired ,which is probably the right thing ,but FFS I have enjoyed watching him ,in my own humble opinion the best I have ever seen ,and by a long way .

I wish him luck in his retirement.

A modern great, not sure I could call him the best pro I've ever seen, a technical wizard nevertheless. He had a tiny frame, short reach, so didn't have the physical dimensions to go much further than 3 weights, still, a 3 weight world champion is legendary status, and fought the best around. A shame we never got to see more of him with arriving relatively late on the pro scene.

I think you are being unfair pal, he stopped lots of fighters, the last one being a very tough & game Kambosos.

World Champion in 3 fights.

Two Weight World Champion in 7 fights.

Three Weight World Champion in 12 fights.

Unified 3 of the 4 belts at Lightweight, a division he didn't really belong in.

17 of his 21 bouts were World Championship bouts.

He'll be in the Hall of Fame.

Still had had more than enough to beat your man TWICE, convincingly, though.  🙂

Have you seen the fight, it's disgusting, the referee should have been fired, Salido hit him with dozens of low blows, was hiting whilst the ref was giving instructions, he was even holding Loma's gloves whilst Salido hit him. His management should have pulled the fight as well because Salido purposely failed to make weight and was around two weight divisions bigger come fight night.

Yep, convincingly.

Especially given the fact usyk was 6 inches shorter and 4 stone lighter than Fury, I think convincingly is the right word to use.  🙂

What a fighter, technically about perfect.. his last fight against Kambossa showed his true class, he was just too much for a well respected fighter (as usual).

You've said for quite a while on here how much you've enjoyed his fights mate, definitely retiring as an all.time great..
