Cheers. come on chart you don’t have to be a plane mechanic to know why they wouldnt use diesel lol not weight something called waxing the weight increase is like you say from higher compression hotter running temps needing more substantial materials now do you talking threw 3 stage rocket lol
Francie, 2,816
Look at the comparison in size of the earth to the sun,the sun looks a scary place
Francie, 2,816
New pics apparently from nasa from a satellite orbiting the sun of earth an dark side of the moon lol an the satellite is a million miles away from the earth an moon apparently. No wonder people speculate, can anyone notice what's up with this pic Google Image Result for https://preview.redd.it/the-moon-passed-between-nasas-deep-space-climate-v0-2usvralbfa4e1.jpeg?auto=webp&s=7371577aaeeb30f7daea8d918b1939454222f170 IMAGES.APP.GOO.GL
Francie, 2,816
Anyone notice what's wrong with these still pics taken from a satellite a million miles away loo from earth, the supposed dark side of the moon? New pics from nasa apparently

They can run on Jet A-1 , the fuel that most aircraft run on, which doesn’t suffer from paraffin waxing. Good try, but “must try harder”as your school reports used to say ! LOL ! chartpolski 27,896
Just now, Francie, said: Does it look real to you mate? How come the whole earth is lit up but the moon ain't? Because it’s a series of time frame stills and the earth doesn’t have a permanent dark side , but the moon does ? Just my guess , Francie, I could be wrong and don’t want a debate, mate . Turbines don’t have combustion chambers as such, they have igniters but if Jet A is compressed to a high pressure in the combustion chamber of a diesel engine it will combust. Diesel engines are pretty pointless for aircraft because, as I said, the power to weight ratio isn’t as good as a petrol engine, but it doesn’t mean they couldn’t be used. mC HULL 15,842
i always thought jet fuel was petrol with higher octane but it’s more like diesel

Remember the Wankel rotating engine in the Mazda ? That was a sort of a combination of the two. The turbine IS an internal combustion engine, like the petrol and diesel engines , but operates on a different principle. The “fan” is driven by combusted fuel and pushes the heated gas into a compressor or a series of compressors compressing the gasses and heating them even more, creating thrust.
