Make sure you change the timing belt and look for signs of failing heads.

Anything 2002 or older are bombproof, especially if you can find a double cab non turbo...I had one for 8 yrs,I put 380,000 miles on it,some cnut drove into it and wrote it off....still be going now 👍

Ive a few pals who have had them muggy " geezer " trucks and all say the same thing.....as with the original old Rangeys,older the better for reliability or newer the better if you wanna be " down wi the lads " 🙄

Chassis can go behind cab on double cabs and up where its arched to go over wheels. I've had a 2009 one for 5 years and it's been sound. They don't tow as much as a hilux but I've had 3 ton digger and buckets behind mine .
