Guess I'm getting into quail

Recommended Posts

Maybe put some perches or a  box in the roof eaves so it's up off the ground, for them to roost? Do you have foxes/martins about? They will Dig under that👍

I think raccoons will be a bigger threat.

Quail are ground roosting birds ... They won't normally even bother going inside

Well apparently these lil guys don't roost just sleep on the ground wish I found odd but it's what they do apparently the back portion under the sheeting is elevated with a bit of a gap and ridge to keep woods having there as bedding if they want that and to keep them off the ground when it gets wet . As far as predators..I haven't seen any come close to the yards in years ...think we had a possum stroll though a few years back ...but when you have three free running dogs, one of which chases and kills every small and furry within about a half mile radius well... Bit of a non issue
