These are coming on well and are as fit as fire from all the hikes up the wainwrights and climbing 4000ft and 14miles,the little shits would go around again when ya get back to the car as I can’t tire them

Might sound stupid but there like an old school type of terrier to me that's why I like them a couple of older guys that i learnt a few tricks from when I was a kid always kept border and border crosses and good little dogs always hard of themselfs

We used to keep stuff from a dog called Tyson good 20 yrs ago..bred a litter of 9,not one made old bones,all too hard for their own good....had a few border lakie xs....they was the same

I’ve lost 2 over the years for been to hard and only 4 digs a season with them.Its trying to get them to pace themselves when they are like that.

They are a cracking pair of terriers and like DC,iv'e always had a soft spot for the Border,but  aren't they meant to be like that and were always bred to kill a fox that didn't bolt in the days of the breeds formation..

My last 2 dogs I dug with were mute and just ran straight in and locked on.Thats why I used to only get 4 digs a season mate,but my bitches we’re nice and steady

As been said there a credit to  you lurchers  I remember getting gifted 2 borders of levi Lizzy and boots Lizzy was mute and to hard for her good at times boots was more settled in his work but both good finders and stayed shame boots died of weils disease at 5 he produced some decent offspring Lizzy was barren I would love the border making a come back

I’ve only ever had 1 baron bitch mate and she was a hard dog.I was gutted that I couldn’t keep anything off her mate that was about 25yrs ago.She was mute to and had no pain barrier

I tried Lizzy 3 times first with a border of some lad in Cheshire I think his name was Gordon he bred Wheaton greyhounds and twice with monty a very good black dog she never took but like your bitch she was mute and to hard some times she got bashed up but a good bitch to have about shame she never took
