I was a crack shot with my pistol crossbow after a few tries so the accuracy of them has improved over the years from when I last shot a Barnet one
Leo Sayer 3,283 Posted Monday at 02:10 Report Share Posted Monday at 02:10 Had a pistol one in my youth. Got a full size one about a year ago for a play, I sold it in a few weeks wasn't for me. Even on my permissions they will draw unwanted attention and the general public have a very dim view of them I think. Around here all the clowns idiot's and wanna be drug dealers have had them , over the years and recently actually some idiot had shot one of the sheep and it was running round with a bolt in it a farmer told me. Ok for genuine enthusiasts and clubs ect, but to powerful and to easy to get for idiot's. I much prefer archery with a traditional stick and string bow, more skill and a lot harder to master. And if seen on my permissions when target shooting by general public on footpaths your seen as more of a robin hood character and people will have a chat rather then phone the dibble. That's my take on them.
