Yeah but many end up in the hands of full blown retards who think that it's fashionable to own death traps like those things.

Because a lot of the early dogs imported to the UK were directly out of and even inbred on a dog in the states that was blackballed by breeders out there because it was a maneater and was known to be

Trouble is mate most of the wallys that get these dogs don't realise what these xL things or any large guardian breeds are capable of if things go pearshaped.Theres so many people that still believe that it's all to do with how you bring them up.And for a vast majority of guardian type ls if raised correctly they can be very well behaved untill the day something triggers them. And then some its just in their DNA to be rank dominant or human aggressive.Ive been around bullying breeds and bandog/mastiff types for over 30 years and I and a couple of knowledgeable mates said right from the start that them XL things were gunna be a massive problem, the alapahas are another very unstable breed/type and I wouldn't have a presa as a gift either.

No bad dogs just bad owners.

Show them enough love and cuddles and they are perfect.

There's enough idiots that actually believe that s**t.The trouble is there's nothing to stop them same idiots from owning any dog they want.

Shouldn't.But even though that gets repeated time and time again let's face it theres been whole bloodlines of gamedogs based around dogs that were known manbiters.Which whilst not great, isn't so much of a problem when the dogs stay in the hands of men that know how to handle them and not idiots that think it's OK to walk them off lead in the local kiddies park or shopping precinct

Thing is, how many were truly out of lines known for it and not just a case of dogs biting through lack of human contact?

I'm glad you talked me out of getting a Corso cross as guard a while ago, not sure if you remember. I never had any problems with the apbt's  but they were always kept under control and I lived isolated from society at the time.

For me you can't beat an Akita, what I love about them is that they're almost mute unless something is going down. My dog is five and I have honestly never heard him bark in the garden, never needed to.
