Arry 23,238
I retired this little old girl this season. She was a good little worker, think she will be luck if she see's the summer through. She's over 10 years now could trust her in a baby's hand never ever bit anyone. Cheers Arry 12 Quote Link to post

Was looking at her this morning and wondering how much time she has left. Half the size of my other two gills. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post

Cheers Arry different ferrets suit different people mate, I like a small Jill that doesn't stick. I know people say that you are leaving rabbits behind, but when not on permission I like the small setts what dog's mark and bolt as quickly as possible Quote Link to post
terryd 8,754
Yes do like a ferret not to stick. Last thing I want to be doing is digging big holes in black thorn hedges. It’s only rabbit not a gold bar. Different if your getting paid to do it 1 Quote Link to post
WataWalloper 1,655
I like a variety of ferrets, I like a decent sized jill or 2 that will stick incase I do need to make sure the place is empty, but a nice small bolter is a god send when bolting to the runners 2 Quote Link to post

Different if your getting paid to do it Sorry no likes left today will try and get back when I have more. Couldn't agree more. We do a lot of thick old blackthorn hedges digging in through loads of roots and making a mess is not good. My mate I keep a few different size Ferrets, horses for courses so to speak. Fidget as she is called was good but as you say see would not stay, I didn't mind that you get more done. The bigger gill they don't f**k about there bolting or dead but more digging. There not bad though they will leave a dead one after a while. I don't mind digging if I'm not taking a hedge down and I'm not digging 6 foot I'm getting too old for that now. I like the little ones for old wall especially old walls that have collapsed they always seem to be trouble. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post
Luckee legs 504
Love this post, respect to these fabulous animals that work so hard for a long time. For most of the ferrets I've owned they are almost priceless once they get the hang of the job. I hope she has a peaceful summer 3 Quote Link to post
